RPG Colorado: TTRPG Events (August 1-15)
Welcome adventurers, to the RPG Colorado newsletter! Today, the authors greet you from Gen Con. It's always a whirlwind here in Indy during these four days, but this year that's been even more true than usual as sudden tornado warning has brought a sudden disruption to everyone's events. Wherever you are in the world, we hope you're staying safe, keeping dry, and in the company of people you love.
There's a lot of new folks here this month, shout out to the wonderful Ginny Di who graciously shared us with her followers. If you're not familiar with her work you should be, she's a brilliant content creator with videos on running/playing games and making music/cosplay/a barbie dream house turned medieval tavern (that last one was a particular favorite of my family.)

Wed/Thurs (recurring) 6-10pm - D&D by EG - Enchanted Grounds - Highlands Ranch & Littleton
"Hey y'all!! Enchanted Grounds invites you to come play in an official D&D by EG One-shot. Camaraderie! Role-playing! Dungeon Masters who are also some of your favorite EG employees! We truly have it all folks. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis to those who sign up on our Discord ahead of time. Follow the link at the end of this message to save your place in the queue... These sessions shall start at 6 PM and end by 10 PM and occur on Wednesday at HR and Thursday at Littleton... Spots will be limited, as we figure out how many tables worth of D&D players we can fill up!!"

I just heard about this and am not really sure what to expect, but it's free and revolves around local games. The featured vendors seem to all be video gamers, but they do have TTRPG Rooms. They say "Dedicated tabletop rooms running through the night. More intimate, more sustained. A counterweight to the open floor; come play a full session or just watch one unfold."

Fatherfog
Father Fog is fairytale horror RPG where you and your fellow party members try to survive in a world where fairy tales, as you know them, exist in their full horror in a world engulfed by fog. The game is published by Tuesday Knight games using the Mothership 1E chassis and we will be playing the intro adventure called "Into the Fog" Into the Fog: When children begin disappearing from your village, the characters must follow a magical strand of yarn deep into the Fog, where an horrific ancient fairy tale waits to be uncovered. Content Warnings: horror (mild body), missing children (think hansel & grettle) 18+
Chasing Adventure
After years of chasing mysterious rumors and ancient legends, you've finally discovered the legendary cloud fortress, deep within a never-ending storm. Your feet finally rest upon the battle scarred surface of the fortress ready to dealve into its depths and find the weapon it houses. Then the fortress begins to hum and its crystal edifice glows and begins to wake up. You dont have much time. Content Warning: Violence
Pendragon
Pendragon a classic rpg where you play a knight in the age of King Arthur. A unique system of traits and passions means your knight sometimes cannot control their own impulses and you have to figure out a way to save them from themselves. We ride to Camelot. On second thought Camelot is a silly place.
Call of Cthulhu
Chicago, March, 1950. The Investigators are hired to find and bring home a missing Star Athlete. When they arrive in town, it is suddenly three days later, and there is a dead body before them. They must figure out what happened, piece together their scattered notes, and finish the job. Content Warnings: Violence, Blood, Horror, Insanity, Mentions of Racism 18+

What if I don't know about D&D? Many of our diehard fans don't! If you've seen Lord of the Rings, you'll get 99% of the jokes. When someone uses a fantasy term that's not general knowledge, we define it live for the folks who haven't heard it before.
Our show starts with an audience member telling the story of an unforgettable moment in a D&D game they really played. We interview them to draw out the interesting and funny details. Then we perform improvised scenes inspired by the story they told. We never know what'll happen in the scenes, but it's always absolute goblin behavior.

About the d616 system:
- Only need 3 six-sided dice to get started to play.
- Rolling a 1 on your Marvel die is called a Fantastic success. It grants special effects plus "yes, and..." results.
- Increase your odds of success with Edges, but be careful to avoid Trouble, which makes skill checks more difficult
